The pace is fast, collaboration occurs on a regular basis, and innovation is expected. As a Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) Managed NAND Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc.
you will work with a team of brilliant engineers to solve complex problems. You are responsible to enable the New Product Introduction process by closely working with the cross functional teams such as 3D NAND device, 3DXP, LPDRAM, ASIC and FW teams to assist Qualification and Ramping of cutting-edge mobile and embedded products.
You will support Failure Analysis and work with Quality and Manufacturing teams on Qual fail resolution, assisting with data analysis as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Use data analysis tools (python, JMP, Excel) to resolve yield & quality concerns
Collaborate with Managed NAND design and eco system teams to develop eMMC / UFS and MCP products for best-in-class market introduction
Optimize memory, ASIC, and product configurations to meet performance requirements
Understand 3D NAND defect mechanisms and Managed NAND system error recovery features
Understand package defect mechanisms and electrical / physical failure analysis methodologies
Define and develop high quality and cost-efficient package qualification strategies
Work with Product Development, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to balance customer requirements against cost, timeline, and manufacturability
Define and develop high quality and cost-efficient qualification strategies
Extensive use of data parsing and yield analysis in alignment with key development milestones
Provide guidance through debug and resolution of product related issues
Routinely communicate overall product status to leadership and cross functional product teams
Provide technical and management training and expertise
Minimum Qualifications :
2+ years of experience is preferred (or Master’s degree is held)
Software programming language Python, C#, C, Perl, VB Script and Java. Unix language
Experience with electrical / physical failure analysis of IC product technologies
Experience with advanced 3D NAND flash and other non-volatile storage
Understanding of volatile and non-volatile memory interfaces including LPDRAM, UFS, eMMC
Good multitasking and organizational skills, able to make decisions in complex situations
Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
Ability to delegate tasks and set priorities in a team environment
Experience working in a sophisticated technology company
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent Project Management skills
Strong presentation skills
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
Education Required :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
