Group Strategic Marketing & Communications (GSMC) is responsible forbuilding, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditisedbanking industry.
Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, wecreate and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications,marketing and research to differentiate and elevate our brand from the restof the competition.
Enhance DBS’ reputation through positive profiling of our Consumer Banking and Wealth Management businesses, and Sustainability initiatives
Provide strategic counsel on media communications to positively predispose our stakeholders (e.g. investors, customers, employees) to the bank.
Extend PR support and to promote the use of digital platforms to senior management / DBS spokespersons
Integrate communications plans across social, online and offline platforms
Mitigate potential media and social media issues
Actively create and execute on digital communications strategies
Generate and curate content for DBS / POSB digital platforms (Newsroom, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc)
Engage with digital communities
Cultivate relationships and build rapport with key media including social media influencers, bloggers, etc
Use analytics and social listening tools to measure effectiveness of campaigns and to further strengthen engagement
Support communications for special projects
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma from any discipline
Preferably with 7-10 years of experience in a communications, journalism or public relations role
Exceptional writer, editor and communicator
Digital savvy and has pulse on up-and-coming digital / online / general trends
Open-minded and adventurous, but anchored with professional integrity
Able to think out-of-the-box
Strong sense of ownership of results
Ability to build strong relationships with media and internal clients
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Good working knowledge of banking and economics; familiarity with wealth management a plus
