Reporting to the Directors, the Head of Operation will be responsible for creating and executing strategies and plans to achieve the Company’s growth and profitability.

As a member of the senior management team, your focus is to drive the business forward in creating stronger relationships, converting more prospects to customers, increasing sales, creating operational efficiency, and lastly, building and leading a team that is highly motivated to deliver sales targets and first-class customer care.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and resource management

  • Assist the Directors in developing strategic direction for the Company and to formulate operational plans for academic programmes
  • Strategise and plan activities to improve customer engagement, and brand awareness and perception and recruitment of students
  • Implement solutions to ensure competitive edge over competitors
  • Plan and manage staff utilisation and optimisation
  • Operations and Team Management

  • Manage, lead and direct a team of leaders consisting of Branch Managers and Department Heads across all centres to ensure targets are met
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers in managing the day-to-day running of the centres
  • Recognise any operational issues and provide solutions for implementation by respective Branch Managers
  • Be involved in human resource, finance, logistical and general administrative matters
  • Establish and manage communication channels within and among departments and be the liaison to provide customer feedback to the Senior Management Team
  • Execute tactical plans and initiatives that exceed customer expectations
  • Plan and improve the new student enrolment and onboarding process, if needed
  • Business Development

  • Recognise customer trends and demand across the academic calendar so as to propose, create and execute activities and programmes that address the needs of students
  • Understand competitors’ offerings will be essential to effectively position the company in the private education space
  • Conduct continual training and development for both teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure all staff adhere to the Company’s standards
  • Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience of leading a team in a sales-orientated environment, preferably in the education industry with proven track record in achieving aggressive sales targets.
  • Prior experience in strategic planning, financial and human resource management would be an advantage

  • Experience in customer service management
  • Ability to build strong rapport across all levels, demonstrating strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing projects to drive business
  • Resilient under pressure
  • A highly-driven individual with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • A problem-solver with a can-do’ attitude who is not afraid to think out of the box
  • Perseverance and self-confidence in influencing managers
  • Proactive and highly organized with excellent time-management skills and adherence to deadlines
