We are looking for a genuine Network Engineer to become a member of our Global Network Operations Team which is responsible for designing, implementing and managing a highly scalable, highly available network architecture to keep the business running.
As a network engineer, you will :
Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation.
Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide-area environments using information from multiple sources.
Secure and administer network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.
Liaise with local, regional and global project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis.
Install and configure network devices and services (e.g., routers, firewalls, switches, access point, VPN, QoS).
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Drive the use of ITIL and IT-security concepts during daily incident, changes and problem management.
Initiate / participate in a team-effort to assess the network infrastructure
Actively suggest and implement technical & support improvements
Undertake stand-by duties and carry out planned works in during maintenance windows.
Travel frequently within Asia Pacific region and occasionally to US, Europe and Middle East.

Required - ITIL V3 Foundation certificate.
Required - CCNA certification (CCNP is preferred).
Optional - Fortinet NSE certification (NSE4 or above is preferred).
Required - University degree in Computer Science or a relevant IT Professional certification.
At least 3 years of proven hands-on network engineering experience.
Experience performing data center related works and / or system integrator will be an added advantage.
Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
Experience managing Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Access Points.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools such as PRTG, Solarwinds, etc. is preferred.
Familiarity with ITIL Help Desk Tools (Service-Now is preferred).
Knowledge of Project Management would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of business activities and processes in the petrochemical industry would be an added advantage.
