As a Technical Sales Manager (TSM) in the Industrial IoT Business Line, you will support the Sales organization in the ASEAN region on all technical matters during the acquisition phase, in order to convince custo mers of our products.
You will provide technical support to customers / distributors and operators (MNO’s) to successfully in tegrate, test, optimize and certify the HW / SW concept based on Thales M2M / IoT technology during all stages of the application development.
Additionally you will be dedicated to key customers to ensure continuity in support.
Run technical presentations and pre-sales support with customers
Provide technical training for distributors and customers
Coordinate technical support and identify the appropriate support packages for dedicated customers
Proactively track of direct and distributor business by close alignment with the customer partners
Acceptance, prioritization and management of the correct internal processing of customer requirements
Identify Thales Unique Selling Points (USP) by means of Competitor Analysis and as a result collection and development of Selling Against Arguments
Trouble shoot (including log analysis, tracing, on-site testing) to establish the root cause of problems found in the field
Raise failure reports, identification of solution or workaround and if needed internal defect escalation in a structured manner
Enable customers to develop new wireless applications (e.g. test scripts, application notes, design hints )
Coordinate technical communication between the HQ and operator / customer / distributor
Align and track customer project milestones
Technical support during RFI / RFQ process
Encourage effective Cross Region collaboration, contribute to Cross Regional Team activities and promote the Thales Portfolio
Knowledge about wireless protocols and 2G / 3G / 4G wireless network topology (Roaming, Handover, SMS, UMTS / GPRS, PPP etc.)
Knowledge of security aspects in M2M / IoT
Knowledge of current M2M / IoT related standardization as well as market trends (3GPP, LTE etc.)
Experience in SW / HW testing and technical understanding of Thales M2M / IoT products
HW education preferred (should be able to discuss schematics)
Basic know-how in embedded programming. (Languages like C, Java)
Comfortable with potential extensive travel within dedicated regions in Asia Pacific and occasional travel to Europe
Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as english fluency both written and verbal
Experience in project management (Time / Risk / Cost management)
Building and maintaining customer relationship
Knowledge of Quality Management and experience in manufacturing QM processes is beneficial
An Engineering qualification would be advantageous
3 years of experience in related field if no experience in IoT
