Senior Automation Engineer

  • Singapore - Tuas
  • Participate in Process Centric Teams (PCT) in supporting the development of production recipes and devising automation solutions that improve productivity, business operations and safety / quality standards.
  • Provide training to different audiences such as operations, process team and engineeringTroubleshoot automation related issues in manufacturing operations.

    Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations.

    Actively attain knowledge of process unit operations.Participate in periodic alarm review / analysis and derive with solutions to reduce alarmsParticipate as automation representative in capital projects involving facilities, utilities and equipment.

    Ensure seamless data flow through all interfaces and hierarchies of system connectivity, within control system, and between other systems.

    Lead the FAT / SAT testsValidate new PCS systems and changes to existing systems. Audit and update existing system design documentation and proceduresPerform Preventive Maintenance of PCS as per schedule.

    Identify and address issues at recipe level as well as 3rd party interfaces with Automation systems.Actively contribute to the building and leveraging of knowledge base within the automation team.

    Stay current on any new features available through active participation in seminars, vendor shows etc. Suggest the implementation of such new features or systems.

    Team player with proven performance records, creative thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.Co-ordinate and work with Pfizer Global site Automation team members to investigate and troubleshoot critical issuesCustomer-focused, positive attitude and a demonstrated passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

    Liaise with Vendors for troubleshooting of fundamental application software / architecture level issuesParticipate and actively support Digital Transformation initiatives involving system integrations, data connectivity, validation methods and value based optimization of manufacturing via process control system

    Education

  • Degree in Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation and Control Engineering.2 years of experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch manufacturing environment;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in process automation system, preferably in Emerson DeltaV
