As a QA Technician in GQ Packrel Operation Team, you will be responsible for performing characterization tests, analyze and publish basic characterization test result, performing equipment maintenance / calibration, troubleshooting problems on equipment, working with vendors / relevant authorities on equipment matters.
The QA Technician also needs to interface with Reliability Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Engineers, QA, Engineering Data Specialists, Product Coordinators, and other engineering or support groups in order to perform and coordinate product testing.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Perform / Coordinate / Support characterization test activities to ensure compliance to specifications
Perform characterization test, collect, analyze and report data
Comply with standardize procedures and guidelines
Stay current on process and equipment procedures
Select and utilize proper test equipment and tools
Updates the status of priority qualifications / experiments, qualifications / experiments on hold, and qualifications / experiments with an abnormal testing times
Maintain, repair, and calibrate equipment
Diagnose equipment problems and implement solutions
Use equipment tracking system to obtain equipment history
Ensure record keeping / documentation in equipment tracking system
Perform preventative maintenance
Perform calibrations on area equipment
Utilize good problem solving skills to drive to root cause solutions
Defines and implements tactical solutions to complex issues
Applies good problem solving techniques and tools routinely. Utilizes structured problem solving methods
Uses in-depth analysis to identify root causes, proposes alternatives and make recommendations via a clear problem statement and evaluation of alternate solutions
Identifies and helps remove issues / problems, in a timely manner, related to a project or process and knows when additional resources are required
Applies effective problem solving skills routinely and provides suggestions on how to monitor the process and utilize available tools more effectively
Use problem solving skills to resolve issues before they escalate
Accomplishes tasks efficiently
Provides quality, accurate work with few mistakes. Appropriate attention to detail. Learns and improves from own mistakes
Maintain / Provide effective communication with team members, both internal and external customers
Understands and follows up on written and verbal pass down

Provide feedback / observations and data to the engineering / production
Communicate / work with Engineering team on process / equipment problems, changes or request as needed and when unable to resolve issues that impact productivity within the normal execution of duties
Mentor and train other team members
Meet expectations and requirements of internal / external customers by ensuring commitments are completed on time and productivity levels are sustained
Respond and recognize quickly and positively to all customers’ needs and respond with respect
Reprioritize work when cusytomer needs arise
Focuses efforts on the highest priority and most productive aspects of job, does not get lost in unnecessary details
Identify and promote process / equipment mprovements
Provide On-The-Job training to peers / other Team Members
Provide technical support as needed

Maintain required certifications
Remain actively involved in quality equipment improvement
Assist with experiments or equipment evaluations to reduce inefficiencies
Assist with process experiments and qualifications
Assist with new and converted equipment qualifications
Dependably works assigned shift. Exhibits flexibility when required by shift rotation or overtime needs.
Keep work areas clean and organize
Does not allow lunch and breaks to interfere with productivity.
Engage in Operational and Administrative Roles
Identify and promptly report hazards
Follow safety procedures and area work rules
Assist supervisor in daily operations / audit
Support engineer / manager request
