The Senior Director, Gul Circle Site Operations is part of the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD), which is a $1.7 billion business with 1500+ employees across the globe.
GSD provides high value genomic information to assist critical decisions in research and applied markets, including Basic Research, Clinical Research, Diagnostics, Forensics, and AGBio.
Our most notable products are qPCR, CE, Human Identification, Agribusiness and Microarray. This role will be based at our facility in Gul Circle, Singapore.
This facility offers key capabilities in manufacturing of Microarray in cartridge, plate and strip formats and GCS 3000 Instrument System.
Travel expectation will be approximately 20%, including both domestic and international.
How Will You Make an Impact?
This experienced operations and business leader will provide thought partnership to the leadership team and will provide direct leadership to the Operations Directors and Senior Managers at the manufacturing site.
In addition, the Director will lead operations to ensure all functions are working at peak efficiency with proper internal communication and interfaces, will develop strong operations and manufacturing teams, and will ensure delivery of high-quality products in compliance with all applicable manufacturing regulations.
Lead a multi-tiered organization of operation professionals.
Accurately assess talent, identify promotional opportunities, develop succession plans, build talent pipelines and hire the best people.
Set vision and purpose for site and align to business goals and priorities.
Maximize the contribution of others by leveraging strengths and expertise of the global team to enable future growth
Manage the complexity of the operational needs within our Singapore manufacturing facilities while ensuring integration and alignment with the supply chain, quality, PPI, procurement, EHS and business operations functions.
Develop, cascade, and execute strategies, goals and objectives well aligned with both the GSD business and Operations leadership teams.
Retain customer loyalty with focus on quality, cost and delivery.
Ensure solid alignment between the operations team and the needs of the microarray and Water Laboratory Products business to support expected growth.
Identify growth opportunities and recommend appropriate course of action to maximize profitability and supply.
Develop and implement plan to scale the site to double the revenue in the next 4 year in alignment with long term strategic business plan.
Assess resource needs across multiple divisions and work with appropriate stakeholders to assign resources per established priorities.
Effectively use operating and prioritization mechanisms to capitalize on team’s impact to the business and customer.
Optimize organizational structure to enable business’ ability to scale, drive efficiency and increase capacity.
Deploy resources to address business challenges, improve the health of the business and deliver on commitments.
Enable operational excellence by effectively driving improvements and standardization across the site to advance quality service levels, reduce costs and support growth objectives.
Sustain compliance to applicable Quality System Regulations.
How will you get here?
Bachelor's degree in related discipline, such as engineering, and / or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree preferred
Experience working in a global company with headquarters overseas
Minimum of 10 years of operations management experience in a complex, diagnostic manufacturing environment
Practical application experience in continuous improvement methodologies to simplify processes, improve quality outcomes and reduce complexities in how we operate
Broad experience supporting a quality culture transformation and a track record of success
