Working in Application Support means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to manage application systems that are crucial to the front office trading for JP Morgan’s Markets business.
You will be technically hands on, you will learn both new technologies (including programming) and new business concepts on a daily basis.

Roles and Responsibilities
Provide application support for L2 level
Troubleshooting and resolving application issues, Front to Back Analysis and resolving any other escalated data issues
Complete RCA for any application issues or data related issues reported by the users Perform BAU activities to make bug fixes in the application or to make small changes
Perform performance analysis of scheduled jobs, database objects for data loading and data delivery performance and provide solutions for tuning
Perform UAT / Production releases for regular releases, hot fixes or production releases provided by the vendors
Optimizing by automating tasks to save effort and prevent any errors by manual intervention
Experience in L2 application support for investment banking and Capital Market
At least 5 years of experience and strong understanding of support incident, change and problem management process
Experience in doing RCA for any issue in infrastructure or application by debugging logs, source code, database objects or any scripts
Strong understanding at functional / system architecture level
Strong database skills in SQL / Oracle to understand / debug / modify stored procedures, triggers, functions
Strong Unix skills for troubleshooting, automation
Good working knowledge of Perl scripting, Shell scripting and Oracle
Experience in working with cross functional teams, users across multiple locations in order to resolve issues, plan releases and make necessary communications
