This is a 1 year contract role.
The Operational Excellence team within Grab Singapore is responsible for championing business process re-engineering, automation, data analytics as well as other value improvement solutions, in order to provide the efficiency leverage for our business to grow sustainably.
We operate on a project-based nature, from generation of a business case for change, scoping of requirements and facilitation of As-Is understanding workshops, through to the development of To-Be processes, automation solutions and analytical dashboards, as well as the tracking of benefits realized.
Get to know the role :
This is an exciting opportunity within the wider Operations organisation in Grab Singapore. As the Lead for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) you will be responsible for transforming the way business works across Verticals including Transport, Food, Rentals, etc.
You will work with our business stakeholders to train them on, pilot and implement RPA bots to automate their manual, repetitive tasks.
This involves understanding the business requirements, identifying key issues and potential use cases for RPA, working with local RPA champions to design and implement RPA bots, and evaluating the outcomes with business users.
You will also evangelise the adoption of RPA across all Verticals and build a local community of Friends of Automation’.
Your self-motivation and experience managing developers will be very helpful for you to excel in this role. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills will also play a crucial role in succeeding as RPA Lead.
The day-to-day activities :
You will collaborate with your peers in the Digital Enablement, Performance Improvement and Planning & Analytics teams to engage stakeholders in various business Verticals for their end-to-end improvement and automation needs :
Analyze the automation needs and systems landscape of Grab Singapore’s businesses, and identify key RPA use cases
Work with business stakeholders to design and deploy RPA bots using one of the leading RPA tools; automate manual and rules-based processing steps and resolve key business pain points
Manage scheduling of bots developed across all Verticals through an orchestrator tool
Build upon and manage the bot library for Grab Singapore
Conduct regular training sessions for business stakeholders on RPA fundamentals and How to build a bot’, and identify local RPA Champions
Create a community of change and promote the use of RPA
The must haves :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Information Technology
Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience with 1-2 years’ hands-on experience with one of the leading RPA tools, including business requirements documentation, RPA bot development, system integration and architecture design and rollout
Familiarity with programming languages relevant to RPA development, e.g. Python, SQL
Highly analytical and adept at problem-solving
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships and facilitate joint outcomes
Self-starter and an engineer at heart, who is passionate about leveraging technology to help business operations drive change and improve growth.
The good-to-haves :
Familiarity and certification with AWS Suites / Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud
