Director, People Business Partnering
This role will be focused on translating business strategy and ResMed’s global People strategy into effective local people experiences.
The Director, Asia People Business Partnering will work closely with the Operations leadership teams and provide expert advice and coaching to drive and support their business objectives.
The role will directly support client groups as well as manage a team of People Business Partners across Asia, ensuring that the team scales with the business.
This role will be best suited for a strong manager of managers with a significant HR business partnering background with proven experience delivering high impact and value across a diverse portfolio of stakeholders
Let's talk about Responsibilities :
Leverage deep understanding of the business strategy to provide expert insight and leadership into organizational effectiveness and talent planning and development for a location, business unit or function.
Partner with the relevant divisional and or functional business leaders to develop forward looking people and talent strategies / solutions in support of the overall business strategy.
Development of strategic workforce planning with both a long and short term focus, to then inform talent development, succession planning, talent acquisition strategies and initiative, and change management to facilitate desired culture.
Develop and implement plans that provide value-added business solutions for supporting high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
Participate fully in local leadership team discussions to ensure any people, leadership and culture related initiatives or actions are surfaced and managed appropriately.
Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports, creating an environment where team members are empowered and enabled to do their best work
Coach and support leaders to ensure the development of a positive, consistent and fair employee relations and workplace culture.
This involves working with the specialist People functions (locally or globally) to define policies, procedures and processes that promote respect for the individual and protects the organisation against undue risk.
Provide first line support to leaders to resolve performance, disciplinary and grievance issues.
Partnering with relevant COE to design, implement programs that help attract, retain and develop ResMed Talent.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the relevant trends, regulations, and legislation in the relevant jurisdictions and ensure appropriate response including representation and or education to raise awareness of changing frameworks, trends and business implications.

Commercial mindset to connect with key stakeholders.
Exceptional partnering and influencing skills with a transparent and consultative approach with business leaders, peers, and partners.
Ability to collaborate within the broader People team to ensure alignment on People strategy and program initiatives.
Ability to lead a team of senior individual contributors and to positively impact on others in peer positions, influencing without authority.
In-depth knowledge of HR practices and principles and legislative environment across Asia is required.
Ability to evaluate information effectively and make balanced decisions.
Communicate in an open and candid manner and build effective working relationships.
Able to manage through and thrive in ambiguity and complexity.
8+ years’ experience in generalist People business partnering / management roles including solid experience in Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Performance Management.
2+ years managing a team
Undergraduate qualifications in human resources, commerce, business or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
Equivalent combination of experience and / or education may be considered.
