As Regional Sales Director for North & South East Asia, you will be based in the region in which you will operate. You will be a key person in the APAC & MENA Sales organization and will represent the company in North and South East Asia with full responsibility for the development and continued expansion of new and existing business with Telcos, Broadcasters and Pay-TV operators alike.

You should be experienced in information technology and / or telecommunications and ideally hold an MBA in a relevant business subject.

You should possess a comprehensive knowledge of the telco, pay media and video entertainment industry in the North and South East region, coupled with an extensive list of business contacts in the Telco, Broadcaster and Operator space.

The overall objective for this position is to manage revenues from the key existing accounts in the territory together with identifying key opportunities for new business in the 6 to 24-month pipeline window.

The Regional Sales Director will have a proven track record in building and managing a healthy pipeline of opportunities within the territory and will be a true senior-level sales executive with the experience and personality to make a major contribution to the companies’ revenue streams and thus its bottom line.

The Regional Sales Director for North & South East Asia will also demonstrate strong leadership skills and sales techniques for growing revenues in the region.

Role description

The Regional Sales Director for North & South East Asia is responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned quarterly and annual financial targets as well as MBO (Management by Objectives) targets.

Managing the overall sales processes from strategy planning to execution, this position will hold the ultimate accountability for sales revenue targets for North & South East Asia.

Primary responsibilities

The activities include, but not be limited to, the following :

  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities, produce sales forecasts, update customer profiles, and present sales strategies / plans
  • Identify, qualify and execute new business opportunities
  • Directly manage sales opportunities to exceed quota through effective implementation of the territory sales plan
  • Quota bearing for the territory and measured by revenue and also by management objectives
  • Develop personal relationships with the C-suite’ team in major accounts
  • Ensure that our sales tool (MS CRM) is regularly updated with accurate information
  • Ensure that Account Development Plans are created, managed and updated for each major account
  • When required, act as the interface between the customer and the functional internal departments to resolve customer issues
  • Provide well-qualified product requirements from customers and provide succinct specifications to the Products team
  • Collaborate with industry partners and alliances to create a joint go-to-market ecosystem
  • Knowledge & Skill requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in selling complex solutions and services in broadcast, media, and telecom industry
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership and staff management experience
  • Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to build and execute sales plans and strategies for growth in a complex software solution environment for broadcast, streaming media and telecommunications in conjunction with all of the associated and connected technology
  • A person with gravitas and commercial credibility an obviously astute and capable business professional
  • A proven track record on personally driving new business in emerging markets
  • Successful negotiation of complex, difficult deals in multiple territories
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management
  • Working conditions

  • Travel will be required at short notice and for periods longer than the working week
  • Travels could constitute for at least 50% of your working time
  • Must accommodate after-hour calls and meetings as needed
