Position : Restaurant Business Manager
Reporting to : Director of Operations
The Role :
The Restaurant Business Manager is accountable for managing all day to day elements of running a Mad Mex restaurant. They have complete operational and P&L accountability for a high turnover business.
They are expected to proactively manage, motivate and lead a team from varying backgrounds and cultures. The Restaurant Business Manager is accountable for planning strategies to ensure the business plan is delivered.

Uplift the customer journey that is aligned to the brand expectation that sets MAD MEX apart;
Constantly train / retrain the team with MAD MEXs’ system, process, SOPs and supervise on execution to ensure the superior customer journey
Manage internal talent frequently which includes conducting appraisals, manage disciplinary issues, and adhere to HR processes for any HR related matters
Manage potential people talent which includes talent sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing and offer
Optimize labor productivity by translating forecast sales, transaction counts and average check into day-to-day scheduling
Facilitate onboarding and training plan for the new hire
is detailed in Product Management :
Manage inventory which includes day to day ordering, receiving, rotation and stocktaking
Ensure and comply with food safety and quality standard which includes labeling, shelf lives, usage and wastage
is Performance Driven :
Be accountable for the profit and loss of the restaurant
Conduct marketing initiatives to uplift restaurant performance and ensuring activities adhere to brand touch point
Ensure cash handlers adhere to cash handling & banking procedures
Ensure compliance with NEA and workplace legislation
It is essential for a qualifier to have / to be
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or equivalent
Moderate skills in Microsoft Applications : Outlook, Word, and Excel
Passionate about the food industry and superior customer journey
Completed Food Hygiene course and carries a valid certificate.
Proactive in problem-solving skills
Able to communicate in both verbal & written
Strong interpersonal skills within the organization and external party
It is desirable for a qualifier if one is / has
Familiar with the food industry local laws, certifications and compliance
Strong sense of business acumen with basic finance principles
