Description

Serve as the key point of contact for all risk-related issues in the Singaporebranch, providing regular updates on risk issues which impact the company’sbusinesses, including prevention, identification, mitigation and resolution.

Identify adverse trends and coordinatecorrective action plans, as necessary.

Contributes to the ongoing independent oversight and challenge ofday-to-day risk management activities, client, product and process change riskassessments and risk reporting for the Singapore branch.

Establishand oversee an effective framework for managing risk in the Singapore branch,identifying and implementing best practices .

Serve as a horizontal , Second Line of Defense, providing the CountryExecutives and branch management teams with a clear vision of where risks lie,helping to define policies for distributing and offsetting those risks, andworking to communicate that vision so that individual managers understand andsupport it.

Collaborate with managementon formulating and executing strategy and decision-making with regards to riskissues.

Advises and assist local businesses and business partners with theevaluation of their existing processes and uses knowledge of risks thatcommonly arise to appropriately direct the business line's activities toaddress any control gaps.

Collaborate with Business Risk Managers and ensure proper linkages tointernal control groups. Contributes tothe appropriate completion of all steps involved in the identification ofpossible risks in local businesses and business partners during the creation ormodification of new products and processes and all non-

standard businessacceptance events.

Administers modifications to reduce implementation risk, as directed,and works to ensure compliance, risk and control documentation and notificationof all appropriate representatives and regulators.

Ensure that the Singapore branch is in compliance with related riskregulations and internal risk policies. Escalates issues, as needed.

Provide training and communicate risk management policies and bestpractices to local staff members.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 7-10 years of total work experience preferred
