Role : Project Manager - Application Development & Support

Key Accountabilities

The Project Manager is responsible for establishing the application development team and ensuring that all the client requirements are catered.

He is also responsible for managing the team and ensuring the delivery of requirements within the timeline

  • Acting as an overall in-charge of the project execution.
  • Project Initiation
  • Scoping, Business Process Study, Scheduling and Execution
  • Stakeholder Management, Project Progress Monitoring / Reporting
  • Risk Management / Mitigation
  • Release Deployment Planning and Support
  • Project Closure
  • Preparing & presenting project progress to Programme Manager / Group Head in weekly / monthly Project Progress Review meeting
  • Identifying resources required for the project and coordinate with the resource manager and other support groups for the same
  • Identifying problems, initiate and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Interacting with customer and resolving issues faced by the customer.
  • Reviewing of estimation sheet and schedules
  • Ensuring compliance to Project Methodology in consultation with the QA Department or PMO.
  • Creating Project Risks Plan and Project Plan.
  • Providing innovative suggestions and solutions for various departments in the organization.
  • Ensure that the deliveries from the team members should meet the requirement specified and enable the customer to use the functionality.
  • Ensure implementation of best practices on knowledge management portal like PMO / share point and contribution in organizational activities like XPERT, Conducting trainings, knowledge sharing sessions, etc.
  • Vendor liaison, proposal reviews and finalization.
  • Reviews of requirements and functional documents
  • High level architectural governance and design
  • Skills / Experience / Qualifications required to perform the role

  • Degree Holder in Information Technology or any equivalent
  • Having 8 - 12 years’ experience in comparable roles
  • Proven experience in playing a lead role on application development & support teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical ability.
  • Have experience in various technologies and platform
  • Good working experience in environment where teams are spread across different locations
  • Strong hands on large project / programme management background
  • Good technical documentation on application development & support solutions.
  • Ability to successfully work under pressure, flexible and willing travel if required
