As a SiP Transceiver Product & Test Engineer, you will be part of Intel SPPD NPI team supporting the development, transfer and maintenance of optical transceiver products from design center to high volume manufacturing environment.
Interface closely with R&D team during product development to understand the design of the assigned product, develop techniques and test methodology to characterize high-speed (>
25 Gb / s) optical transceiver modules. Define product test parameters based on product and design specifications.
Work extensively with test software engineers and other partners to develop test processes, test solutions and automated test equipment, in process monitoring and control systems for optical modules or subassemblies.
Lead and drive high volume manufacturing test solutions, including test boards, test instruments, integrated test systems and automated test platforms.
Be a key stakeholder for transferring products from design centers to manufacturing facilities, provide training and product related documentation (e.
g. debug trees, test procedures, work instructions, cost modeling, yield reports, etc.) to factory team.
Collect and manage product data and yield reports, work closely with assembly process engineering team to drive resolutions for root causes of yield / quality issues.
Work closely with field applications engineering team to perform product customization to meet customer specific requirements.
Direct working experience with optoelectronic and fiber-optics components and assemblies, solid understanding of the properties of various types of lasers, detectors, modulators, and characterization of high-speed optical transceivers : Extinction Ration, Eye Diagram, TDECQ, Sensitivity etc.
Extensive knowledge in optical and electrical test methods as well as test equipment, such as, High Speed Sampling Scopes, Bit-Error-Rate Testers, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Optical Attenuators etc.
Familiar with high volume manufacturing environment, SPC, FMEA, and DOE, able to utilize JMP or other statistical analysis tools to analyze yield data, identify root cause of failures and drive for improvement.
Strong foundation in digital and analog circuit, experiences with high speed PCB design and test instrument development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate and interact effectively with coworkers across functions and geo locations.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
