PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Serve as technical contact for biopharmaceutical customers in SEA
  • Provide consultative expertise and technical support for best practices, process development, scale-up and implementation of Corning Life Science applications
  • Independently design direct experiments and execute experimental protocols and troubleshoot issues
  • Serve as key interface with Sales, R&D, Marketing and Business Operations
  • Provide voice of customer feedback and support the improvements of Corning portfolio. Communicate key competitive activities, market trends and changing customer product and application needs
  • Actively seek out, improve and execute thoughtleadership opportunities to advance the industry state of the art
  • Achieve Bioprocess, Media and Cell Culture (selected portfolio) sales budget together with regional Sales Managers.
  • Responsible for technical selling understanding the product and application needs of a customer and using customer-focused selling techniques to recommend workflow solutions leveraging product features and benefits and cross brand synergies
  • Develop relationships with key accounts to build a strong partnership for existing and new business expansion in focus market segments
  • Organize direct to customer technical activities at key accounts to increase awareness of the product portfolios including new products e.
  • g. workshops, coffee mornings.

  • Assist as required and appropriate in complaint resolution to help resolve technical problems that customers are facing using Corning products
  • Customize and deliver presentations to fit customer’s technical needs.
  • Participate in sales, product training, marketing campaigns and customer awareness events in support of both channel partner and Corning-organized activities
  • Establish and be identified within Industry as leader and participate in internal and external technology summits
  • Work as a team with internal colleagues and the local office for the best interest of the company and business.
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : The candidate will work in a competitive Bioprocess and Cell Culture life sciences market in SEA territories.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required :

  • Degree or Masters in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or Chemistry preferred.
  • Strong background and practical experience in upstream processing of biologics, including but not limiting to vaccines, biomolecules, gene and cell therapy
  • At least 5 years working experience in a related technical / applications / sales function with customer facing responsibilities.
  • Strong technical understanding of Life Science products (vessels, media, surfaces) in key application segments e.g. Cell Culture, Bioprocess, Cell Therapy, Biologics and Vaccine Manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate in English both oral and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills to build external customer relationship and coordinated internal support to meet customer needs.
  • Regular working hours with travel required (approximately 30-40%).
