As a Financial Analyst with Micron, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial analysis, planning and reporting on fab operating expenses and unit costs, capital expenditure and scenario planning.
You will partner closely with finance and other cross-functional teams in the reviews of actual and forecasted data as well as participate in the fab budgeting process.
You will also be a key financial resource to support site operations in understanding their operating expenses, evaluation of capital projects and scenarios.
Collect and organize required Corporate Metric Data
Monthly review, analysis and report of actual costs and comparison to plan and prior period performance
Quarterly review, analysis and report of forecasted costs and comparison to prior forecast(s)
Build and present business results and projections to management team
Provide support / assistance to cost centre managers with respect to expense planning, cost control and variance reporting
Ongoing support of management information requests and special projects as assigned by management to improve the business
Establish a strong understanding of fab financials and cost drivers to provide effective analysis and help drive good business decisions and competitive costs (include benchmarking, identification of cost saving opportunities through data and metrics).
Continuous review of financial analysis methods, tools, product cost allocation model and processes; implement improvements as needed in order to improve the quality of analysis.
Continuously work to improve the coordination and communication among site finance teams, Singapore Shared Services Centre (SSC) as well as Central Finance team.
Build and maintain effective customer relationships.
Ensure adherance to global accounting policies and SOX requirements.
Support inventory cycle counts.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum 2 years of Accounting or Finance experience
Prior work experience in the Semiconductor industry and / or manufacturing operations is a plus
Proficient in ERP systems (such as SAP), Microsoft Office suite and database applications (such as Cognos)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Planning, reporting and / or financial modeling experience
Experience in partnering with Operations and Finance teams
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
Organized and have an eye for detail with a strong focus on accuracy
