The role of the Senior Solution Engineer is tosuccessfully engage, position and secure the technical selection of Oracle’son-prem and cloud solutions. You are expected to work closely with the salesand product teams, own the solution opportunity from a technical perspective,engage continually with customers and drive the opportunity to sales closure.In doing this, you build a trusted advisor relationship with key customerexecutives, evaluation team members and decision makers.
This is a Singapore based role covering Thailand marketwith a huge focus on Cloud (IaaS & PaaS) technologies.
The responsibilities related to this role are listedbelow:
Formulate and lead the Hybrid Cloud solutioningengagement with potential and existing customers
Lead presales technical/functional support activity toprospective clients and customers; Develop and deliver outstandingpresentations and demonstrations
RFP/RFI responses, sizing and capacity estimation, costbenefit analysis derivation
Be creative with strong problem solving skills and theability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced and continuously evolving
Coach/advise the sales teams on effective ways of dealingwith competitive traps and objection handling
Build / leverage assets that help simplify availableinformation into key sales messages helping sales teams with value basedselling, business case definition, ROI analysis, position references andanalyst data
Actively participate in organizational skill exchangesand transfers expertise to others.
Design/ leverage and implement programs that result inadequate pipeline to ensure over-achievement of regional sales targets
Continuous improvement in self-research, learning andreadiness on the new public and Hybrid cloud services offerings
Stay abreast of global and regional cloud and on-premlandscape and the competition
Extend and enlarge the knowledge base of the domain ofexpertise by defining new approaches, by coaching others and by leadership intheir professional communities internally and externally
Drive activities to increase awareness, demand andadoption of Oracle Hybrid Cloud portfolio of services and products
Working with Oracle’s Consulting organizations andpartners to proactively ensure on time and budget implementation of positionedsolution
More than 8 years of experience in the IT industry, ofwhich at least 5 hands-on experience is a must
Hands-on experience in Cloud Infra modernization withLift & Shift
Hands-on experience with Cloud data management: databasemanagement, data warehouse, big data analytics, and machine learning
Software development background with agile developmentexperience
Require hands-on experience in Cloud BI & analyticsreporting
Require hands-on experience in data analytics, dataintegration, business intelligent, data warehousing design & development,preferable with Oracle data management technologies
Require experience in designing & deploying solutionson cloud, using Infrastructure and Platform cloud services (IaaS and PaaS),preferable with Oracle cloud
Hands-on experience in big data technologies, and eventsteaming is an added advantage
Experience in software application development usingcloud native technologies, and agile development methodology, is an addedadvantage
Experience with middleware technology stack, such as AppServer high availability, SOA, ESB, Service Integration, API management, andIdentity management, is an added advantage
Great presentation and communication skill, is a must
Fluent in English and Thai language in writing andcommunication

The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 10%
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
