The pricing team is one of the four pillars of the Revenue office in Zalora. We operate at full speed to optimize profit and increase conversion rates by working towards the goal of providing better value pricing for the customers.

The Revenue office is a newly formed department within Zalora led by the Chief Revenue Officer and comprises four teams - PMO, Pricing, Merchandising, and Analytics.

It considers the product, customer and tech platform as constraints and we use all the levers at our disposal (price, campaign, search, sorting, and processes around them) to get the best possible performance (read Sales and Profit) out of them.

The revenue team, albeit an independent function, works closely side by side with buying and marketing.

We are on a lookout for a tech-savvy, curious and ambitious talent who is passionate about creating accurate data solutions to maximize business profits and meet strategic directions of the company.

This role will be responsible for supporting the innovation of the Zalora Markdown Model (ZMM), which covers more than half a million prices (SKUs) across 6 countries, a profound impact on the success of the company.

As a pricing analyst dedicated to the algorithmic pricing product, you will generate critical data-driven insights by understanding our customers and acting as a key interface between our Revenue and Data Science teams.

You will work closely with the Data Science, Merchandising, and Planning teams. As an empowered team member, frequent interactions with senior leaders (eg.

Chief Revenue Officer) is also part of the role.

Responsibilities :

  • Leverage our data to identify what drives the business impact of the product and where the biggest opportunities are, develop them into the algorithm and reshape the Zalora Markdown Model, signing off on developments and change management, implementing the features to internal stakeholders
  • Own the A / B-testing pipeline for the model algorithm. Coordinate A / B test setup, monitor ongoing tests and analyze results.
  • Monitor our product performance by developing reporting solutions and performing ad-hoc analysis. Communicate with departmental and cross-departmental stakeholders.
  • Help in defining the strategy of the current & new tools to use in the wider Commercial team. Drive data mindset in the team, guide in terms of methodology.
  • Represent the Zalora point of view in the parallel creation of a Global Pricing Engine by GFG team
  • Evaluate existing processes to develop improvements, standardizations, and best practices
  • Requirements :

  • 1-3 years of analytical experience working for an eCommerce Fashion retailer, technology and an eagerness to develop as an analyst, product manager, or data scientist is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, the ability to turn complex findings and results in a compelling narrative and a set of actions
  • Led or contributing to a complex technical project related to analytics, testing or data modeling
  • Familiar with SQL, Tableau, and objection-oriented programming language (Python, R)
  • Experience in working with Google Analytics, Superset is a plus
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with an open and honest approach
