  • Leading the commercial and administration team, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for fulfilling the commercial function on a Project including optimising margin while protecting the business from commercial risk.
  • As a senior member of the Project Team, the Commercial Manager will work closely with the Project Director and / or Construction Manager to provide strategic commercial support in the delivery of the project.
  • The Commercial Manager will provide support to the Project Team on all cost and contract deliverables, ensuring that the Head Contract and all subcontracts (and other downstream agreements) are administered with best practice governance across the entire project life-cycle.
  • The Commercial Manager is expected to professionally manage cost and value and mitigate commercial threats whilst assisting in maintaining Client and other key stakeholder relationships and interests.
  • Stakeholder management, coaching and mentoring project personnel and driving performance are integral to achieving commercial success.
  • Requirements :

  • Degree educated or equivalent tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Circa 6 years post graduate experience in the industry
  • Good stakeholder management skills are required including the ability to upwardly manage and work collaboratively with internal team members, partners and stakeholders.
  • The individual must be collaborative and innovative and have excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • The individual should have a commercial understanding and have the ability to analyse and promote value add opportunities balancing risk and reward.
  • Excellent problem solving, organizing, and analytical skills.
