Pls note this is a 2 years contract position with opportunity for extension.

Our Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate.

With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation.

Main Responsibilities

Under the supervision of Automation Lead, Automation Engineer is responsible for providing technical support in the field of automation, assisting in investigations, finding resolution of automation problems and in the implementation of Automation Change Control in compliance with SDLC, GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Performs Automation maintenance, including system backup, disaster recovery, and obsolescence activities, and ensures automation systems remain in a validated state.
  • Ensures timely resolution of identified automation issues and unplanned events identified in the daily walk-through.
  • Perform automation change controls with guidance from Automation Lead to ensure that changes are raised and closed on time following the required quality standards.
  • Develops and updates Automation training packages, and conducts Automation training
  • Support for deviation and operation investigation requiring code and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Supports a continuous improvement framework within Automation and works with Leads to identify and implement improvements
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Qualification

  • Bachelors in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical or Computer Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years of technical experience in Siemens / Rockwell PLC & SCADA
  • Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for more senior position.
  • Open to 2 years contract and Tuas work location
