The Manufacturing Industry Team is part of Microsoft’s Enterprise Commercial organization. The team is accountable for leveraging deep industry and technical expertise to enable sales teams and partners to deliver relevant, high-

quality solutions and services to empower our customers within the landscape of manufacturing, chemical and agriculture to digitally transform their businesses.

The Manufacturing Regional Business Leader role is at the leading edge of this transformation journey with our customers.

The goal of the Manufacturing Regional Business Leader is leading industry digital transformation engagements and opportunities with Microsoft’s customers, with deep industry knowledge and experience.

This is a manager role that is operating at a strategic level across Microsoft’s Enterprise customer segment. The role is to land strategy and drive field and customer motions aimed at driving results.

As an industry subject matter expert, the Manufacturing Regional Business Leader will continue to support Industry discussions with customers to help achieve short-

term targets and influence motions to setup long-term customer outcomes


Primary Responsibilities :

  • Partnering with Field Sales Team Leadership, Industry Solution Sellers, Industry Executive / Teams and Strategic Account Leaders to drive industry-
  • specific growth, and identify solutions and programs needed to drive customer impact and transformation

  • Driving scale for industry sales plays by planning and landing industry priority scenarios, solutions and sales plays with regional industry sales community and regional field leaders
  • Assessing and improving industry acumen through direct engagement and coaching with Field leadership and other regional / area resources to enable a more customer industry aligned approach across the buying scenarios
  • Actively representing the company’s Manufacturing view point in key regional Industry events and executive sponsorship of key strategic accounts, providing thought leadership.
  • Creating a feedback loop with colleagues at Corp on solution performance, product / service capability and gaps, any barriers to sales / consumption, and providing guidance and support to local teams to prioritize and escalate issues and executive requests
  • Reviewing regional Strategic account plans from a Manufacturing point of view
  • Coaching and driving regional opportunities; Triage, approve and escalate top deals
  • Aggregating regional insights on their respective industries, amplifying best practice sharing, and deepening industry capability talent in each area
  • Spotting regional Manufacturing-specific barriers to sales / consumption, and provide guidance & support to local teams;
  • prioritize and escalate issues and executive requests

  • Delivering feedback to Corp on solution performance, solution maps and product / service capability and gaps
  • Have deep competitive differentiation understanding and objective handling including certification and compliance
  • Providing coaching, mentoring and support to Industry Advocates, to Industry Executives acting as their community leader, and all Manufacturing pure sales leaders and teams
  • Qualifications

    Requirements (Education, key experiences, skills, and knowledge) :

  • You are an inspirational Sales team leader and coach.
  • Your drive Business Performance thanks to Influencing for Impact and a strong cross-group and cross-countries Collaboration with track to demonstrate past success
  • You have a strong Manufacturing Industry expertise based on a significant (15+ years) Industry solution selling experience, combined with great knowledge and connection in the Asia market, with deep background in manufacturing verticals
  • You are recognized as a people leader who will build People and Systems Capabilities and capacity for the Industry and the Region
  • You are skilled at prioritization, creating order and marshalling resources towards achieving a common goal, diligent planning and execution
  • You have confidence under pressure especially within tight timelines
  • You have a growth mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar information technology-related, or engineering discipline degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
