The VP APJ Marketing is responsible for the development of the regional marketing strategy, including all aspects of the planning, programming and successful operational execution of all programs and campaigns across the APJ region.
Additionally, this leader will lead a large 100+ team of senior marketing professionals with expertise in enterprise, and commercial segment marketing, solutions marketing, partner marketing, digital marketing, lead generation, events and marketing operations.
In addition to managing the 5 regional Field Marketing leaders and their teams which are geographically distributed throughout the APJ region.
The individual will drive creation and execution of integrated, online and offline marketing programs that drive awareness and demand for all VMware products in all countries in the APJ region.
The individual will work extensively with sales, partners, and global marketing to design, execute and measure demand generation and qualification programs to support pipeline growth in the APJ.
This position is for a business leader with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as strong business acumen and solid grasp of the latest marketing techniques.
He and she must be able to work effectively across many organizations and influence our corporate team and solution teams to create the right content in order to maximize the impact of these marketing programs in their region.
This leader, an expert in demand creation, specializes in the effective use of integrated, marketing programs (digital and physical) that optimize contribution to pipeline creation.
One of the primary stakeholder for this organization is sales leadership, specifically the GMs / SVPs of Geo’s, and the global leaders of specialist sales teams.
Therefore the alignment and relationship with sales leadership is a critical dimension of this job, as the outcome of this team’s work is aligned to sales leadership (from the creation of new opportunities for the field, to accelerating their existing pipeline, to reducing sales cycles, and deal acceleration activities).
This individual will be an expert in B2B software, and / or cloud services demand creation, and have excellent channel experience as VMware drives the vast majority of its business thru partners in the APJ region.
He or she must be able to work effectively across many organizations and partner with our corporate and product teams to optimize the creation and delivery of world-class demand gen programs and campaigns for optimal market impact in Asia.
The product and solutions portfolio is broad and ranges from point products, to comprehensive solutions, from mature established products to emerging offerings with less established customer traction.
And the geographical diversity scales from mature markets, to emerging markets with nascent market traction.
The role will have a seat on the APJ Business Leadership team and will be a senior member of the Global Field Marketing Leadership team, reporting into the Global VP of Field Marketing & Demand Generation.
