The Market Access Director APAC is accountable for formulating and executing market access strategy in the Asia Pacific Region to secure optimal adoption and value-

based pricing for LivaNova's product portfolio (in-market and pipeline assets). Develop and execute market access strategies for successful and timely adoption of LivaNova products.

Adopt a holistic approach with a focus on reimbursement, healthcare systems, Health Technology Appraisal, pricing, generation and communication of value propositions for multiple stake holders, with a structured results oriented approach.

Lead the Market Access team of the Asia Pacific region.

The person in this position will need to be success driven through leading and or participating in integrated teams- e.g.

  • Global Market Access, Clinical. Regulatory, New Product launch, Marketing, and Sales teams. He / she will need to be able to understand healthcare policy;
  • define communication strategy and execution plans for successful an d timely adoption of LivaNova products.


    This role will incorporate but not be limited to the following :

  • Lead, develop, attract and retain the Market Access team of APAC
  • Define, formulate and deliver the timeliest market access strategy for prioritized Livanova current and future products.
  • Identify Market Access opportunities supported by financially sound business proposals. Alignment with regional plans
  • Manage the market access budget for APAC
  • Diligently monitor healthcare trends across region, report impact of changes and implications for LivaNova for new and existing Technologies.
  • Communicate to and seek input from country teams on the following :

  • Impact of Country healthcare changes on LivaNova
  • Update progress on key activities
  • Use Pricing knowledge to develop optimal Reimbursement pricing
  • Adapt Global Market Access product value dossier to local requirements - Deliver and submit reimbursement dossiers - Demonstrate the value of LivaNova products from an economic perspective and present this evidence along with clinical arguments to Health Technology Appraisal (HTA) bodies within the region
  • Lead all components of an HTA submission and responsible for development of a high quality HTA submission dossiers
  • Communicate and coordinate health economic activity across multi-functional teams within the Asia Pacific region including but not limited to clinical, marketing, sales, and regulatory teams
  • Provide input to Clinical Protocols as appropriate for end points that will support HTA needs and or reimbursement - Cost-
  • Effectiveness, Quality of Life etc - Manage business relationships with all relevant customers with regards to HTAs, including physicians, patient groups, economists, HTA bodies.

  • Build strong relationships with organization and industry peers to strengthen LivaNova image, competitive position and performance.
  • Support the Market Access leadership through active involvement in appropriate projects and areas of responsibility
  • Contribute to strategic discussions / Market Access planning processes to enhance the effectiveness of implementation of regional strategies
  • Communicate economic assessment results to appropriate internal audiences - Design and implement projects for the collection of health economic date (in-
  • house or external agents)

  • Develop, lead and execute as appropriate in-service training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal to increase awareness and understanding of health economics
  • Adapt Global Economic models for deployment in Country and communicate to target internal and external stake holders
  • Lead development and communication of study / research results through conference abstracts / presentations and peer-reviewed published manuscripts.
  • Ensure alignment with Global communication plan - Engage with local governments to ensure success of strategies.

  • Masters Degree or higher from an accredited college in health economics
  • Formal training in health economics, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum (6-8)+ years of solid work experience or equivalent with management experience leading functional and cross-functional teams preferred.
  • Experience in health economics and / or outcomes research, preferably with experience working with medical technologies in the medical device or pharmaceutical arena.
  • Experience in remote team management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Asia Pacific Healthcare systems including expertise in health care financing and technology assessment.
  • Ability to interpret and integrate business strategies into actionable, value-added reimbursement initiatives
  • Mandarin language is a must
