Support the Commercial team of the Transport and Resources Singapore Group
Provide commercial management support, especially in bid / tender preparation, in cost monitoring / tracking and driving accountability and successful commercial outcome across the T&R Singapore projects.
Additionally, the candidate will also provide project management support, specifically in design coordination, project control and programme management
The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of Commercial Team of the group; and will be required to coordinate and liaise with the Project Managers, Project Directors and other senior members of the Group.
He / she will also be required to maintain effective working relationship with the rest of the finance team and administrative staff across the Singapore office and with Australasia T&R Sector
As part of the team, you will aim to develop commercial knowledge and project management / coordination skills that will allow you to provide a high quality of consultancy services.
This may take the form of undertaking relevant cost / fee estimation, cost tracking and earned value analysis & reporting, and multi-
disciplinary coordination within your relevant business area. There will be a development program to assist you in attaining the desired level of knowledge and skills
Understanding of project delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects will be beneficial.
You will assist in the preparation of proposals, provide support and prepare other documentation during tender phase of a project under senior’s supervision.
In achieving this you will apply a variety of standard methods and techniques in solving problems
You will assist in the commercial and contract management of projects, including cost estimating, monitoring, organizing commercial reviews and reporting on projects
You will be accountable for submitting a high quality of work that is accurate of which may take the form of routine forecast calculations, estimates, letters;
reports; standard documentation; presentations, etc.
You will be accountable for providing all information in an articulate and organised manner in a within the agreed timeframes.
Possess relevant QS or Finance / Accountant or Construction Management Degree or Diploma
3 to 5 years of relevant experience
Be committed to pass relevant professional chartership within three years
Contributing to a team-oriented environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
Supporting the firm’s compliance in maintaining ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirement
Other relevant duties as required.
