The MP&IM Operations Lead role will act as a trusted partner to the AMA Regional Planning VP & Heads to support & drive Planning strategy and vision.
The Operations Lead will use strong analytical skills; financial acumen and knowledge of end-to-end planning to provide strategic initiative and analytical support.
This role must be able to identify key planning opportunities & risk and activate key business partners or resources to harness or mitigate these gaps.
This role will be a primary connection point with external partners in :
Global Planning coordinate and facilitate Go To Market (GTM) milestones such as Merchandise Financial Plan (MFP), Investment Review (IR), Hind-Sighting.
Regional Merch Ops collaborate & align at each key touchpoints through the GTM, starting from Brief, LAW, FLA, RFLA, Assortment Review, Investment Review and Hind-sighting.
Regional Finance work in partnership to develop MFP 1.0 / 2.0 gathering exercise to enable & inform internal MP&IM stakeholders for capacity planning, inventory projections & buy plans work.
Internally within MP&IM, this role will develop, facilitate, support in :
Monthly S&OP process & meetings.
Planning operations Calendaring, facilitate ways of working, planning GTM, OTB.
Reporting & Analytics.
Planning or Cross function projections.
Responsibilities : Planning Operations
Facilitate & drive OTB & MOP Review meetings.
Develop & drive Planning milestone calendar across planning org.
Facilitate new ways of working within MP&IM and cross functional partners.
Support & facilitate the development & sharing of Option Counts by MP teams to Merchandizing partners.
MFP Financials Collaborate with finance to facilitate the setting of Revenue, Units, margin targets for MFP Financials, which in turn is used in capacity planning (MFP 1.
0) and Buy Plan development (MFP 2.0).
MFP 1.0 with Global Facilitate the working sessions between Regional MP and Global MP to shape capacity signals to supply chain 16 months before the start of season.
MFP 2.0 Financials Facilitate the sharpening of pencils of Revenue, Units & Margin targets with Regional Finance 9-10 months before start of season.
This output informs the Buy Plan development before MF0 / 1.
Investment Review & Hind-sighting Support, develop and drive key GTM check-point meetings Investment Review by GEOs and Global and Hind-
sighting meetings with Global Planning Ops, MP&IM leadership & BI Manager.
Support the Head of Omni-channel Inventory Management & team in producing monthly S&OP content for the region and affiliates.
With the assistance of Reporting & Analytics Manager, lead & cover all MP&IM analytics initiatives & requirements.
With the assistance of the Tools & Systems lead, ensure the smooth operations of SAS Planning systems.
Develop &roll-out training plan with the Tools & Systems lead across the AMA planning org.
Support & facilitate with domain knowledge and relevant analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Training, Communications or relevant work experience with at least 8 years of apparel / retail or equivalent experience.
Experience working with Planning organizations and / or retail / wholesale environment preferred.
Experience in the development of system-based training programs.
Experience working with a Merchandise Assortment Planning tool and Retail planning experience preferred.
Experience in project environments for system implementations.
Experience building and using simulations or web-based training systems.
Excellent analytical skills & attention to detail to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data.
Ability to asses business strategies and create aligned learning and development solutions to produce desired business results.
Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Ability to translate process and technical solutions to audience levels, addressing multiple roles and responsibilities.
Exhibited ability regarding attention to detail and process and the ability to prioritize.
