As a Compliance Analyst at Applied Compliance Technologies (ACT), you are part of the global Compliance team which includes the Compliance Consulting practice and the in-house compliance function responsible for not only managing ACT’s relationship with its financial regulators, provide regulatory advisory, compliance monitoring and managing regulatory and reputational risks.

Our Compliance Consulting practice assists clients in various compliance related matters such as KYC, AML or providing them with ongoing compliance advice to navigate the rapidly changing regulatory landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Managing a portfolio of clients regulated by various global regulators
  • Preparing compliance manuals and other related policies and procedures
  • Setting up the compliance infrastructure and assisting ongoing compliance monitoring
  • Undertaking periodic compliance monitoring reviews at client premises
  • Writing compliance monitoring reports
  • Managing regulatory filing and reporting schedules
  • Providing ad hoc regulatory advice and creative solutions
  • Updating clients on regulatory change
  • Networking and relationship building with industry professionals and industry bodies
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring, investigate and assess the alerts for risk mitigation as well as training of staff.
  • Help manage contacts and relationships with regulators and law enforcement agencies ensuring that communications with regulators are open and constructive.
  • Assist Business Development to respond promptly to the compliance enquiries of the prospective customers.
  • Implement the existing Anti-Money Laundering / Anti-Terrorist Financing
  • Prepare regular management information
  • Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends.
  • Ad hoc report, project and other tasks as assigned.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience in audit / compliance role. Prior experience with MAS regulated firm or a compliance consultancy practice is an advantage
  • Understanding of the financial services industry, Fintech, Technology and Blockchain preferred
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Client facing, solutions focused skills
  • Clear, logical thought processes, ability to make decisions and articulate these clearly
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills
  • Time management skills and ability to work within deadlines
  • Solution-driven and problem-solving attitude
  • Legal or audit background would be useful
  • A keen interest in the business of investment management and legal, regulatory and risk management environment in which it is conducted
  • Strong interpersonal skill with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Solid analytical skills with attention to details
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and speak in Mandarin as this role would require to review Chinese materials
