Get to know the Role :
As a Search and Recommendations Product Manager at Grab, you will work on various top of the funnel initiatives to driver user engagement and conversion on GrabFood.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, result oriented and thrives in a fast paced environment.
Within GrabFood, the Discovery workstream focuses on core user experiences around improving visit to purchase conversion through projects like Search engines, recommendation system, home page navigation experiences, advertisements etc.
This is a rare opportunity for you to help shape what great food ordering experience looks like in South East Asia.
The day-to-day activities :
Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, User Research and Data teams to shape a customer-focused product vision & strategy, supported by internal and external analysis.
Define and maintain creative, high quality, product roadmaps and specifications.
Secure stakeholder buy-in for the product vision and roadmap.
Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience and business objectives.
Coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver products to market on time.
Identify, assess, track and resolve issues and risks at multiple levels; including both technical risks and associated business risks.
The must-haves :
2-10 years of product management experience, preferably with direct experience in ecommerce Search and recommendations systems or other data intensive projects like real time transaction systems, advertising, gaming, social media, merchandising etc.
Highly analytical with an experimentation mindset
Customer obsession with hands on approach to problems
Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and collaboration skills - must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, designers and business stakeholders
Able to operate with high level of independence.
An engineering, statistics, mathematics or related degree from top tier institute.
Direct experience in building search / recommendation systems for a Food delivery app.
Familiarity with SEA consumers and trends - has previously lived or worked in a South-East Asian country
Demonstrated success in delivering and scaling products while navigating the high-growth, fast paced moving environment of a startup
