The Field Sales Area Manager is a senior professional position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to execute against key portfolio strategies in coordination with the Consumer Sales team.
The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of support services to Citi clients and to drive management teams to meet sales targets.
Manage a team of 20 or more staff and managers, including interviewing and hiring through to ongoing performance management, developing and managing retail and professional sales plan strategies.
To coordinate and manage the administration of leads from different channels / sources and ensure prompt follow-ups are made to the prospect so as to ensure high level of conversion.
To be responsible for the overall business acquisition results against plan.
Work with respective stakeholders to establish goals, review and provide guidance to individual staff to achieve their respective goals and also to ensure high standard of compliance.
Effectively administer coaching / monitoring and ensure consistent performance as well as to ensure a high level of customer services to prospects and customers by the staff.
Assists in developing short and long term strategies to ensure delivery of the acquisition plan
Analyze weekly and monthly sales reports, understand field performance, and implement action plans to ensure sales objectives are achieved
Collect and communicate market intelligence around best practices, client feedback and market competition in assigned geography and vertical
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and Retail Partners, respond in a timely manner to escalated issues and concerns, and develop new and enhanced programs to increase new accounts
Develop and manage cost center budgets and expenses
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
6-10 years of relevant experience
Proven sales and acquisition related experience required
Good and proven leadership skillsets
Able to lead and manage a large team of individual contributors.
Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience
