Amplifi

Amplifi is the media investment arm of Dentsu Aegis Network. Consisting of four divisions Investment, Global Media Partnerships, AMNET and The Storylab, Amplifi.

The Amplifi APAC team is tasked with providing thought leadership, best practice, accountability and growth across TV, Digital, Outdoor, Print and Radio and most recently Data its strategy and deployment across DAN.

The Amplifi goal is simple - to harness technology, insight and creative thinking to help all members of the DAN operating model identify and deliver value.

Role Purpose

Reporting into the Regional Commercial Director and working closely with local Amplifi teams, the successful candidate will be tasked with developing new and existing technology, data, and media partner relationships as well as supporting the Dentsu Aegis Networks' (DAN) Trading communities (local and central teams) in all aspects of the media buying product.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience within the media industry, with a good knowledge of both digital and offline media.

There will be a requirement to travel internationally to local market teams and media partners in order to achieve success in this role.

Accountabilities

Drive Commercial Consistency

As part of the commercial team within Amplifi APAC we have an agenda to future proof our business model. This evolution of commercial models has happened at a different pace and into various guises across the network.

Whilst this has helped with local adoption, there is a desire to ensure a degree of consistency and the utmost integrity.

Learning best practise from markets will assist in scaling the model into all markets across the region. The successful candidate would be expected to develop, distribute and train local trading / buying teams on best practice on delivering a media trading best practice’ program with local market workshops.

Support Global Partners

Amplifi APAC are launching a preferred partnership program which will require us to survey, compare and select key partners with which will build strategic relationships to scale globally.

We will be looking to support accredited suppliers with a bespoke plan to which will provide them with tangible benefits.

The successful candidate will be integral to these relationships providing support and making key introductions throughout our network.

Support the Amplifi Pillars Commercially

As a member of the commercial team within Amplifi Global there is a requirement to support the Amplifi pillars beyond investment.

  • This includes : supporting the Global Media Partnerships (GMP) team with commercial strategy and trading initiatives to drive investment with key partners;
  • using our leverage with media partners to help support The Storylab’s ambitions in the content space; working with the Commercial Technology team and AMNET to drive the programmatic agenda and DAN’s 2020 vision to be a 100% digital economy business.

    Amplifi Uplift

    This role will have some focus on the development of Amplfi Uplift. Amplifi Uplift is DAN’s principal trading business model, which delivers value advertiser clients, through making risk based investments with media, technology and content partners.

    With support from the Regional Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for initiating, tracking and evolving Global / Regional / Local projects.

    The successful candidate will be required to show creative and organisational skills throughout this process as well as the tenacity to manage multiple projects across serval markets.

    Drive Trading Compliance

    As part of the commercial team within Amplifi global we not only future-proof the trading model, but ensure that we protect the existing models as much as is possible (and reasonable).

    There is a requirement in this role to work closely with local markets to help interpret local market compliance issues as they arise, and also to advise on various issues / proposed models in light of global client contracts also.

    A working knowledge of trading mechanics within media and problem-solving skills will be required to help develop solutions with the markets.

    Technical skills

  • Experience in the media agency environment with working knowledge of planning / buying principles and trading mechanics
  • Experience of managing long and short term projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Working knowledge of Digital Media landscape including programmatic systems and key vendors
  • Knowledge of barter and non-standard trading mechanics
  • Experience of working in international markets would be an advantage as would be a command of another language / s
  • Experience of coordinating multiple functions both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal capabilities :

  • Comfortable dealing with risk and the need to operate at pace
  • Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of media and advertising is desired but not essential
  • Experience of delivering change and process re-engineering
