Applied Materials is leveraging its technology to develop and deliver products in the emerging spatial genomics market. You will be part of a growing, dynamic, and multidisciplinary group of scientists and technologists from fields of optics, material science, biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics and software engineering, to drive cutting edge product releases and develop go-to-market strategies to build this business.
This is a strategic role and will suit someone who can contribute within a cross-functional team, has passion for defining, and possesses strong communication skills.
Manage all aspects of defining, positioning and launching new reagent products.
Create go-to-market strategies to enable reagents revenue growth.
Define market requirements for new market segments and future products by collaborating with internal and external customers.
Collaborate with Product Development Team to develop solutions to solve our customers’ High Value Problems
Own and develop product portfolio strategies and product roadmaps, including cost models, positioning vs competition based on market conditions
Manage on-market products through their life cycle
Act as the Voice of Customer for product enhancements and new product developments
Support customers with product training
Technical program management
A successful candidate will possess :
Life Science or Medical Diagnostics Sales and / or Marketing experience
Previous product management experience
Commercial acumen of the Anatomic Pathology Diagnostics space preferred
Experience in Biomedical industry, Medical Device or Cancer Diagnostics industry preferred
MBA level business skills preferred
Excellent self-management skills
Education and experience :
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in Business, Medical Science, Biology or related discipline.
5 10 years experience in biotechnology, next-generation sequencing, life science instrumentation Sales and / or Marketing, or technical support management
Demonstrates in-depth or breadth of functional expertise in own discipline
Anticipates business and regulatory issues to recommend product, process or service improvements. Experience with customer escalations
Able to solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
Leads multi-disciplinary project teams and develops the strategy for project execution. Must be team player.
Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.
Ability to communicate effectively with presentations.
