The appointee (on contract) will be required to teach Adult Learners in the in one or more of the following areas :

  • Accounting and Analytics
  • Design Thinking and Innovation
  • Digital Marketing
  • FinTech
  • HR Business Partnering
  • HR Technology & Analytics
  • Procurement
  • Robotic Process Automation
  • General Responsibilities : -

  • Facilitate, teach and conduct practical sessions to Adult Learners based on prescribed curriculum of the Singapore Polytechnic (both face to face and online)
  • Conduct assessment for Adult Learners based on Assessment Plan prescribed by Singapore Polytechnic
  • Develop training and assessment materials in the respective domain
  • Perform and conform to the procedures and rules governing the engagement with Adult Learners as set by Singapore Polytechnic
  • General Requirements : -

  • At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the chosen area(s)
  • Relevant qualification in the chosen area(s)
  • Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring students
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team
  • Analytical Skills
  • Technologically-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Candidates who possess relevant experience in training / teaching will have an added advantage

  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer Accounting & Analytics) : -

  • Possess working experience in an executive position in Financial Accounting, Cost / Management Accounting, Auditing, Tax or Finance
  • Have considerable experience in the practical application of the financial reporting standards and practices in various industries
  • Involved in the strategic reviews of business operations and hands-on experience in analysing business data in the course of his / her work
  • Technologically savvy and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and / or business and accounting analytics
  • Working experience of MS Power BI and / or Tableau is highly preferred
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer Design Thinking & Innovation) : -

  • Understand design thinking process and methodology
  • Able to apply the design thinking tools in an innovation process
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer Digital Marketing) : -

  • Possess working experience in the field of marketing, encompassing the management of services marketing mix, market research, IMC campaigns, brand management & digital marketing
  • Able to showcase a portfolio of content marketing, media planning, programmatic advertising, community & crisis management proficiency
  • Proficient with digital marketing tools such as Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Firebase, Wordpress (CMS), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Premiere Pro, Qualtrics & Salesforce (or any other comparative software / web applications)
  • Able to teach search engine optimisation tactics (from a content marketing perspective) & organic growth hacking for Social Media
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer E-Commerce) : -

  • Familiar with the eCommerce framework, the different eCommerce business models, strategy, platform and operations
  • Hands-on experience with both frontend and backend eCommerce operations including Logistics and Supply Chain support
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer FinTech) : -

  • Strong understanding of the Fintech Industry, including its trends and developments
  • Strong knowledge in financial innovations and technologies and familiar with related applications, processes, products and business models that are transforming the financial service industry
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer HR Business Partnering) : -

  • HR business partnering experience in managing the full employee life cycle
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of the various HR functional and foundational competencies, especially in career development, manpower planning
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer HR Technology & Analytics) : -

  • Current, in-depth knowledge of deploying HR technologies and tools across various HR functions
  • Conversant with the use of data analytics to support HR decision making
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer Procurement) : -

  • Able to teach procurement related topics such as procurement strategy, supplier selection, negotiations, supplier performance, compliance and e-procurement
  • Hand-on experience with procurement and sourcing operations
  • Proven working experience in global procurement management with significant experience in international negotiations / management
  • Additional Requirements (Lecturer Robotic Process Automation) : -

  • Able to teach basic to intermediate RPA skills using tools such as UiPath
  • Hands-on experience with implementing RPA to one or more of the functional areas, e.g. Accounting / Finance, Human Resources, Logistics / SCM or Corporate Services
  • Knowledge of basic coding skills preferred
