We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resources team as the Director, Human Resources for the APAC Infrastructure Operations team.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Global Human Resources Leader for Infrastructure Operations (Infra),

this role is responsible for leading the APAC HR Infra Operations team and is critical in building and executing our people initiatives across APAC, providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence.

This leader will need to bring broad based experience, having succeeded in a wide range of HR roles. This leader will need to understand what it takes to move a successful, rapidly growing organization from good to great.

We’re looking for a leader who is inherently curious, thinks big, and is comfortable taking calculated risks and implementing innovative solutions.

This person must have the ability to think strategically coupled with the willingness to roll up their sleeves and act tactically when necessary.

An unrelenting focus on the customer and employee experience, a proven ability to invent and simplify, a bias for action and the capacity to conduct and leverage comprehensive root-cause analysis when building business cases or influencing decisions are requirements for success in this role.

The Infrastructure Operations APAC business has a presence in over 7 countries, with an aggressive timeline to expand into further geographies.

This leader will focus on developing and implementing an HR strategy that supports a high growth environment and ensures that these strategies are aligned with the business priorities, as well as Amazon’s culture.

Interfacing effectively at all levels of the organization is a critical success factor with a demonstrated ability to influence solutions / outcomes.

In this role, you will :

  • Partner with the APAC Regional Infrastructure Leader and the organization leadership to drive results creating new programs to accelerate the attraction, development and retention of talent.
  • Partner with HR Lines of Business (LoB) leaders to drive regional priorities, including building and implementing the people strategy for the professional services business.
  • Partner with the AWS organization talent acquisition team to build systemic and scalable recruiting programs to create a sustainable pipeline of talent.
  • Partner with the AWS expansions team to develop and execute the talent strategy for expansions in the APAC region.
  • Function as a thought partner and coach to key Infra Operations leaders and their respective organizations; engage in the business strategic planning to translate business needs into a people agenda.
  • Lead the annual HR talent management cycle relating to Talent and Performance Management, Compensation Management, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development for the APAC Infrastructure Operations organization.
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency in HR processes to enable the organization to hire and develop talent at scale and consistently to Amazon principles.
  • Lead a direct team of HRBPs in APAC, and an indirect team of HR Partners to support the organization
