A Network Engineer / Senior / Manager is responsible for analysing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and application components.
A Network Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction.
A Network Engineer also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.
What Will You Do
Responsible to work with all technology team member to insure proper maintenance of the LAN, Wireless, MAN and WAN voice and data networks.
Provide Level-2 / 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Responsible for insuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise voicecommunications network.
This includes the installation, maintenance, and management of all data network equipment such as router, LAN switch, firewall, wireless, servers, backup systems, network management and diagnostic tools, etc.
Responsible to assist in the development of company policies and procedures to support operations, security, and integrity.
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures conjunction with the company’s security team.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
understand the Customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in designing a network that is available and sustainable.
Troubleshoot equipment and network problems, participate in critical maintenance windows, and to open and track TAC cases through to problem resolution on pre and post production issues.
Raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and to track these through to problem resolution.
What Do We Want
Bachelor Degree in IT / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
Vendor Certification, CCIE is a MUST
Should have managed large enterprise WAN and Lan network
Hand on experience in Networking / transport domain of data centres
Strong experience in Networking / Transport domain for Data Centers
Strong experience in Cisco, HP Routing and Switching, BGP, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 Load balancer and related network technologies
Must have ability to analyse technical documentation and identify gaps / risks
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of LAN / WAN support for data network at Access, Aggregation, and Core technologies network
Strong experience of supporting global enterprise networks based on Cisco or HP technology
Through understanding of modern service provider TCP / IP data networks using standards technologies including but not limited to MPLS, OSPF, BGP4, STP, RSTP, VTP etc.
Should be well versed in in MPLS & WAN communication technology like internet VPN, SSL, VPN etc.
Good knowledge and hands-on experience with routing and switching.
Router, Switch and IP configuration experience is required.
Knowledge Load balancer and Wan Optimizer will be additional advantage.
Should be familiar with ITIL Framework ITIL concepts such as incident, Change, and Problem Management
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Should be flexible for long working hours and ready to work in shift and weekend.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to work alone as an individual contributor and as a participant in a team environment.
