The purpose of this role is to work with the Consulting Team and support the Director of Strategy & Change Management to build and strengthen our strategic advisory and change management capabilities across the business.

The role will span across all consulting services with an emphasis on building the Strategy & Change Management service offer.

The primary focus will be on winning work and profitable project delivery.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide project direction and strategic project guidance for large-scale projects involving a typical level of change and / or day-to-day support to expert level practitioners for highly complex and step change projects.

Demonstrate and encourage a mind-set of experimentation and innovation relentlessly looking for ways to support our clients achieve success.

Provide project leadership and ownership for engagement submissions, including pricing and commercial terms negotiation.

Ensure commercial agreements are set-up to deliver target profit and minimise risk to all parties through strong project governance.

  • Communicate the submission content, scope of work and client information to the project team. Ensure the project is set up for success - grounding all team members in the project's goals (client;
  • design; profit; learning and development). Drive a 'consulting' model throughout the business ensuring service delivery and project outcomes are aligned with the client brief and achieve contractual milestones.

    Address any escalated client issues or concerns and manage issues such as over-servicing and scope changes. Safeguard the integrity of reporting, invoicing and processes to ensure information is up to date and managed on time.

    Conduct presentations / workshops and lead stakeholder meetings. Undertake regular project reviews.

    As an industry / sector expert, participate as a speaker at industry conferences and client forums. Working with the Knowledge and Research Team, stage manage speaking opportunities.

    Share expertise in understanding the challenges facing our clients; and drivers of change (within or across sectors). Drive the development of our thought leadership intelligence and a culture of sharing insights / ideas.

    Identify and lead relevant research topics providing regular Thought Leadership articles and blog posts on the company website.

    Curate a program of research topics ensuring regional relevancy. Lead and coordinate a client forum and white paper annually.

    Develop and refine tools and resources to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.

    Develop new business and drive ongoing and long-term partnerships that deliver required annual Strategy and Change Management revenue, profit and growth targets across the region.

    Contribute to core content for Strategy and Change Management services and drive submissions and marketing plans which target new and existing clients.

    Play a lead role at pitches to prospective clients. Be the national and international Strategy and Change Management Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for key clients to ensure critical relationships are maintained.

    Build Strategy and Change Management profile both at a company and personal level, by developing, hosting and facilitating forums, client functions and promoting and presenting at seminars and conferences.

    Cross-sell service offering to new and existing clients Ensure Service Variation Notice opportunities are maximised on all projects.

    Leverage industry network and insights, personal experience and thought leadership to win new business.

    Advance your skills, knowledge, and competencies, and those of the team by attending industry seminars, lectures, events and leading and contributing to in-house workshops, knowledge collateral, training, and events.

    Role-model, drive and instil a culture of 'work-winning,' the development of strong client relationships, collaboration, and project ownership amongst all staff.

    Drive business and project objectives and direction by providing regular constructive and timely feedback and monitoring of understanding and acceptance by staff.

    Provide coaching, mentoring, and project opportunities to ensure our people raise their skill level and develop their careers.

    Attend and contribute to the relevant internal meetings and forums to provide consistent, accurate and transparent communication with your team.

    Ensure that critical information and learning generated from each project is communicated. Develop a comprehensive understanding of strategic advisory methodology and processes.

    Openly collaborate with project / studio team members. Build links across our other studios by collaborating with other designers to share knowledge and insights.

    Requirements

    Degree qualified in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Design or Architecture. Change Management qualifications an advantage

    High-level consulting capability, emotional intelligence and client management skills.

    Expert change management, or experiential design, or strategy knowledge.

    Dynamic story-telling skills.

    Project management skills.

    High-level interpersonal and facilitation skills.

    High-level communication (both written and verbal) and persuasive presentation skills.

    Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

    Business planning, budgeting, and commercial acumen.

    An understanding of the strategic business / organisation / marketing context of business solutions.

    Expert industry awareness.
