The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.

Get to know the Role :

Post the acquisition of Uber in SEA, Grab has transformed from a ride-hailing app to SEA’s leading super app. Core businesses in Singapore include food delivery, payments and financial services.

New and relevant everyday services like hotels and videos were also launched to cater to our customers’ lifestyle needs.

We’re looking for a creative storyteller who loves technology and is motivated by the desire to connect people to new experiences that help to improve their quality of life.

The Communications Asst Manager / Manager will have a strong understanding of consumer and media landscape in Singapore.

He / She will formulate and execute consumer PR plans for Grab Singapore. Working closely with business, marketing and social media teams, this person will help drive conversation and earned media around Grab as a technology brand.

An understanding of the intersection between PR and Social Media within the digital landscape is advantageous.

The day-to-day activities :

Develop and execute PR programmes for new product / service launches, shape narratives and cultivate understanding of Grab

Actively mine and promote consumer stories, pursue publicity opportunities that will benefit the Grab brand.

Manage media and influencer advocacy programme

Create thought-leadership programmes for executives

Pre-empt and mitigate issues and crises

Build strong relationships with business and media stakeholders

The must haves :

5+ years experience : Consumer PR, media relations, issues management

A creative and collaborative self-starter who can work independently, and be comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic environment

Consumer tech experience preferred

Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

Have a strong news sense, creative in pushing new angles and ideas, hands-on and motivated by challenging work
