Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns.

As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimizing, raising or investing capital.

Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation and Business Modeling.

The opportunity EY’s market leading Operational Transaction Services (OTS) team provides on addressing CXO agenda in Strategy, Integration / divestments and Value Creation.

We are seeking to further expand our team with IT consultant to advise corporate and private equity firms who intend to acquire, divest or restructure businesses.

The team comprises advisors with specialist commercial, operations, IT and deal / transaction experience from industry, advisory and audit backgrounds.

  • Your key responsibilities As a Senior Manager within our Operational Transaction Services team, you’ll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions use your intellectual guile and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle;
  • including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and corporate carve-outs & integrations You’d lead / involve in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations.

    You’ll attend meetings with clients to sell work and work in a transaction environment operating under tight M&A timeframes and demands.

    Also, you must be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role. As a subject of matter expert, you’d use your IT sector knowledge and work on projects across Digital Transformation, IT Transformation and Big Data.

  • Part of a core engagement team working on a CXO level strategy and transformation agenda
  • Lead and involve in different type of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g operational and IT due diligence, carve-out planning), post-
  • deal (e.g integration planning, tracking) and restructuring (e.g rapid cost reduction)

  • Lead meetings with senior client stakeholders to advise, develop, shape and drive the strategy and planning for integration, carve-
  • out / separation and operational restructuring

  • Contribute to management of each engagement, including commercials and risk.
  • Be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role where you can demonstrate the ability to perform and summarise analysis into management insights and recommended actions at pace
  • Lead an independent module of an engagement structuring the module, gathering data and conducting analysis and creating recommendations, sharing and aligning findings with the client
  • Managing a team of 2-3 junior consultants
  • Interacting with client counterparts on a daily-basis

  • Ability to work in a fast paced professional services environment and cope with undefined situations
  • Strong project management skills and commitment to the delivery good quality work
  • To qualify for the role you must have

  • A Bachelor's degree (a Master's degree will be an advantage)
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in consulting (preferred) or top investment and leading corporates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience of producing and reviewing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership.
  • A track record of successful in strategy development and project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing project team members and vendors
  • Have a broad range of IT experience including, infrastructure, applications, databases and networks
  • Professional services / consulting experience within Transactions : ideally due diligence, carve-out or integrations experience
  • Deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function.
  • Experience in one of the following industries : consumer products and retail, oil & gas, process and manufacturing industries, and pharma and healthcare
  • Travel to client locations within Singapore or outside as necessary
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience in supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a large-scale consulting environment
