Main Tasks & Responsibilities :
Carry out effective product development lifecycle starting from MVPs to Engineering Prototypes, Manufacturing Prototype builds, Pilot run and Series Production, following key milestones / gates during the process
Be the key owner of the manufacturing step from initial small volume runs with manufacturing partners to in-house manufacturing (with an Industry 4.
0 Highly Automated manufacturing process)
In collaboration with Global Product Owners :
Full ownership of electrical / electronic architecture of the PCBA, interfaces & communications
Principles of design-to-cost PCB design to ensure environmental (temperature / humidity / moisture protection) & EMI / EMC compliance
RF Communication (understanding of WiFi / Beacons / Bluetooth / LoRa / LTE / 5G communication interfaces etc.)
Hardware protocols (USB / Serial : I2C, SPI, CAN )
System aspects of the product provide inputs & work closely with vendors to propose mechanical housing, mounting, connectors etc.
to achieve the objective of low size, weight and power (SWaP) footprint
Work closely with Product Owners & Business Development teams to evaluate customer requests & market needs. Support in formulating technical proposals for RFIs, tenders and bids
Lead Test / Quality Engineers to ensure product quality & compliance to regulations
Manage specification for hardware testing strategy.
Design test tools for tests in factory / Design tests for sample acceptance
7 - 10 years of Experience
Proven expertise on constructing end-to-end products and good knowledge of the principles of fault tolerance, reliability and durability.
Consumer Electronics / Aerospace / Automotive experience would be a plus.
Hands-on experience & knowledge of Embedded Electronics
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various departments & customers locally and internationally
Team-player with a willingness to work in an Individual Contributor mode as well as to coach & mentor in a leadership role (start-up mindset)
Technical Skills :
Good understanding of uC architectures (8 / 16 / 32 bits)
Experience with real-time system architecture / design
Expertise in RF, and multiple antenna integration (LTE, GNSS, BT, WiFi)
Schematic / PCB design experience a must
Hands-on experience in using embedded development tools (oscilloscopes / signal generators spectrum analyzers etc.)
