Responsibilities :

  • Provide statistical support and services to customers within the Technical Development Department and those in other functional areas in the business, including other statisticians within GMS and R&D for projects that require cross-site involvement.
  • Assist product specialists in implementing effective Design of Experiment programmes in the laboratory. Provide support in conducting measurement system analysis and multivariate analysis.
  • Coach and train staff in the use of appropriate statistical tools to enhance efficiency in problem solving.
  • Provide support in implementing statistical process control projects in the plant to deliver robust and consistent process control, while minimizing yield / quality variability.
  • Provide support in the introduction, use and ongoing maintenance of databases, statistical software and trending tools.
  • Provide support in root cause analysis, process understanding, control and capability, and Continued Process Verification activities to ensure the consistency and reliability of manufacturing processes over products’ lifecycle.

  • Lead and coach statistics community of practice teams in the use of statistical tools. Provide consultancy on approaches of statistical problem solving, data analyses and related business processes.

    Requirements :

  • A good honours degree in Statistics / Mathematics together with a postgraduate degree (preferably)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related industry and / or teaching at undergraduate / postgraduate level (for senior positions)
  • For statistical systems developer, experience in specifying, developing and implementing systems
