The role

You will be responsible for creating unique, inspiring and commercial prints which reflect Love, Bonito’s brand image and language.

You will support the Head of Design through every aspect of the print design process; from research to design, colourway proposals, technical print file creation, development and final approval till production.

This is an exciting and varied role that requires a dynamic individual with initiative - one who thrives in a fast paced and exciting environment but can remain calm under pressure.

You should have / be

  • An excellent sense of design and a clear understanding of colour theory
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of fabric qualities and materials
  • An ability to respond to any brief and adapt to suit the style required
  • Highly creative and able to build on inspirations
  • Strong experience in creating different types of print set-ups (repeat, placement print etc)
  • Adept at keeping to deadlines and working in a timely manner
  • Excellent drawing and composition skills
  • Commercially aware, with good fashion knowledge and an eye for trends
  • Main responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Head of Design to determine the mood of each new print collection.
  • Assisting Designers in creating colourway options and print mock-ups.
  • Assisting in preparing factory ready artwork technical files.
  • Proposing suitable fabric bases, and sending them for development.
  • Following up on Print colourway strike offs and maintaining an updated library of them.
  • General fabric archive filing and other administrative tasks.
  • Requirements

  • 6-month commitment
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Diploma / Bachelors in Fashion Design, Graphic Design or relevant work experience
  • Innovative and collaborative designer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of initiative and maturity
  • Problem solving attitude & can-do personality
  • Creative with a commercial eye
  • Interest in fashion, design, and art
