The Application Professional will be responsible for offering product expertise, application knowledge and technical support along each step of customer's process.

The main missions are to ensure successful design, validation and implementation of our products,by supporting sales for product design, product positionning and demonstration, and supporting customers for application development work, initial startups and training.

Main Tasks

  • Support the local Technical Support team and Sales in the customers’ process analysis.
  • Provides technical demonstrations on new products to the customers.
  • Ensures the installation at customers are properly done and initial start-up are performed.
  • Trains the operations at customer site during product installation / applications.
  • Support Marketing and Sales in the quality complaint process by visiting the customers and analyse the processes for better investigation and resolution.
  • Train and support the local service engineers on the daily technical requests from customers and sales.
  • Work with other AS for application trials, whereby different technologies are required for use in the process optimization and product / solution design proposal.
  • Train & Coach the sales organization to improve product knowledge
  • Support the Technical Support team and the sales organization for the introduction of new products through product demonstrations, product installations and start-up support to customers
  • Generate Application notes for existing products
  • Expert use of sales & positioning tools.
  • Evaluate customer required specifications to ensure they are properly submitted in RFQ process and that they are within the scope of our ability to supply.

  • Undertake any relevant tasks as may be directed by the superior from time to time.
  • Job Requirements

  • Possess a graduate degree in Chemical Engineering or Biomolecular Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Biopharma industry.
  • Has the ability to effectively interface with product / project / division management.
  • Has the ability to maintain alignment with tactical programs.
  • Maintain a current and high-level competency in the relevant markets, technologies products and customers applications.
  • Aware of the relevant regulatory positions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at various levels include but does not limit to sales, technical and users as well as dealing with customers at production floor level.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a hands-on attitude and a commitment to setting goals and delivering results.
