Job Scope :

The job-holder assist Deputy Director (Ops Logistics) in building up the operational logistics excellence and preparedness of the Home Team Departments (HTDs).

The job holder is responsible for the developing of MHA logs capabilities through the harnessing of logistics innovation and technology.

Officer is also responsible for the development and review of ministry-wide operational logistics plans and policies. In addition, officer will take on the secretariat role for the MHQ Public Sector Taking the Lead in Environmental Sustainability (PSTLES) working committee.

Job Description :

  • Develop and review ministry-wide operational logistics plans and policies;
  • Explore how technology can be harnessed to support and improve HTDs logs capabilities and visibilities;
  • Identify IT initiatives that could be implemented across HTDs;
  • Spearhead or support logs IT projects that cut across the HTDs e.g. Home Team eMart;
  • Work with the HTDs to identify and review HTDs' end-to-end logistics activities to improve overall system processes;
  • Secretariat support to the MHQ Public Sector Taking the Lead in Environmental Sustainability (PSTLES) working committee;
  • WOrk with the HTDs to develop, review and update the MHA HQ (MHQ) Resource Management Plan (RMP);
  • Prepare and submit annual PSTLES MHQ RMP progress update to MEWR after seeking MHA Senior Management endorsement;
  • To lead / support and project assigned.
  • Requirements :

  • 4-5 years working experience in logistics related areas;
  • Tertiary qualification in logistics related areas;
  • Competent in exercise planning, coordination and execution;
  • Knowledge in operational / logistics planning;
  • Knowledge of project management;
  • Familiar with demand aggregation activities;
  • Keen interest in developing knowledge on logistics matters;
  • Personal Characteristics & Behaviour :
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; and
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
