JOB DESCRIPTION

Support the team leads to implement strategies to extend the reach of research findings to advocate their relevance to policy and practice

  • Contribute to the conceptualisation of analytical outputs that can provide evidence informed insights to policy makers and TAE professionals
  • Work with IAL Principal Investigators to distil research findings and analyse various sources of research and administrative data to triangulate research findings

    Support the writing and production of research papers, publications and news bulletin to showcase IAL research findings

    Contribute to the planning and production of IAL research publications to sustain visibility of IAL’s research in the local and international community

    Support commissioned and international / regional collaborations

    Prepare research papers that are requested and co-ordinated at regional or international level

    Manage local implementation of international studies that IAL participates in and subsequent analysis

    Manage and coordinate IAL commissioned research

    Manage the research depository

    Maintain data standards and metadata, as well as policies relating to data use and sharing

    Collate technical reports and data documentation from IAL research projects to incorporate into the depository

    Review data requests to ascertain that the data variables requested for is required for the stated research objectives

    Prepare research data that can be made publicly available

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    A tertiary qualification in any discipline

    At least 2 to 3 years of work experience, preferably in the relevant research domain

    Strong analytical and conceptualisation skills

    Strong project management skills

    Good stakeholder engagement skills

    Proactive with high level of initiative

    A team player who is a fast learner, has an open mind-set, collaborative, highly independent, committed, and adaptable to an environment that requires multi-tasking
