Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the role is primarily focused on maintaining and developing the Voice business with assigned partners and carriers in the Asia Pacific region to meet the defined margin and revenue targets.

It’s likely the role will develop into selling multiple services including SMS, Mobile Services and associated VAS products.

The Sales Account Manager will therefore be responsible for all sales activities for their assigned region which includes :

Voice trading and bilateral Sales with assigned customer portfolio (Asia Pacific focused).

Volume commitment and bilateral deal making and management (working closely with Routing and Business Operations).

Develop and maintain close relationships with assigned customers, professionally managing all customer requirements, needs and issues.

Prospecting, development and closure of new business opportunities with customers and partners.

Daily tracking and reporting on traffic, margin and revenue for assigned customer base.

Act as a liaison with all internal groups; including but not limited to Finance, Legal, Rate Administration, Operations and Marketing.

Take lead on trouble shooting and problem solving customer or commercial issues, bringing in the right internal experts as needed to deliver timely solutions.

Managing capacity requirements and following through to implementation. Follow-up on all provisioning orders to ensure turn up.

Work closely with Sales colleagues within Asia and Globally to develop and deliver cross-regional opportunities.

Regular and timely reporting to direct management team for sales performance review.

Candidate Requirements :

4+ years of experience in international Voice carrier sales and key account management. Must be able to demonstrate success and ability to develop and execute on business opportunities.

Experience in SMS and Mobile sales is a bonus but not essential.

Highly motivated, proactive and organized self-starter with ability to work independently is essential.

Target and customer focused with an ability to develop, grow and maintain new business within assigned accounts as well as developing new business opportunities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Highly adaptable with ability to quickly learn new products and services.

Highly developed analytical skills for business and trading decisions.

Expected to have some basic technical knowledge related to telecom networks, interconnect types, capacity etc.

Travel required, including customer visits and event conferences.

Must be fluent in English, second language preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
