We are looking for an experienced senior foresight consultant to join Arup in our Foresight, Research and Innovation team (FRI) helping us to deliver industry-

leading foresight services to both internal and external clients, lead the development of major strategic foresight initiatives and projects globally, and expand our external consulting offering.

Arup FRI is a multi-disciplinary team with representatives in Arup’s offices in London, San Francisco, New York, Hong Kong, Berlin and Brisbane.

As part of the Arup University, the FRI team carries out research into trends and issues affecting the built environment and society as a whole.

FRI also conducts and designs workshops, explores trends and creates future scenarios. The team also developed the Drivers of Change initiative : www. The team encourages foresight, research and innovation capability across Arup and conducts research into future tools and methods for design.

In addition, FRI has responsibility for managing Arup’s corporate R&D activities. This involves the development of the global research strategy, the management of relationships with strategic partners and the dissemination of research outcomes.

It is preferred for this role to be based in Singapore. As a Senior Foresight Consultant you will play an integral part in helping us to delivery industry leading foresight products and services to internal and external clients in Singapore and Australasian region.

You will proactively support the growth in regional capability including being responsible for pursuing new opportunities and generating external project work.

You will lead the design and delivery of projects, develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, and facilitate high level stakeholder workshops and client engagements.

The role will require a good understanding of our regional clients and businesses, the business development process, internal and external communications skills and strong working relationships within the firm and across regional boundaries.

Furthermore, we expect you to work closely with regional business and marketing leads, incorporating their awareness, strategic plans and business priorities.

The successful candidate will join the FRI team and report to the Australasian Regional Foresight and Innovation Leader.

You will work closely with the Global FRI team. There will be a particular focus on delivering projects for and with Arup’s Regional Business-

and Skill Leadership. The candidate is expected to build and manage external client relationship and deliver foresight consulting projects.

You will also be expected to be an integral part of the regional Foresight and Innovation team, acting as an ambassador for other streams of the team’s portfolio, sharing with and contributing to the regional agenda. Responsibilities

  • Management and delivery of external and internal foresight projects and programmes, from conception to final delivery
  • Building relationships and delivering projects that support the strategic goals of Arup’s Global and Regional Business- and Skill Leaders
  • Identifying, winning and delivering foresight consulting projects for external clients from a broad range of industries, including financial tracking and management of the project delivery team;
  • developing new and existing client relationships

  • Developing consulting partnerships with selected business leaders, including our Transport, Advisory services, Planning, and Digital businesses
  • Supporting the development of major strategic initiatives, such as the Regional Strategy, Digital Business Strategy, Cities Business Strategy and Transport Business Strategies.
  • Management of project delivery teams, including freelancers and team members from other Arup offices, businesses and skills
  • Management, planning and facilitating events such as workshops and seminars
  • Writing of reports, articles; preparation and delivery of excellent presentations
  • Working with the Australasian FRI team in the delivery and coordination of regional foresight projects, regional engagement, and strategy development and implementation
  • Providing guidance and leadership to junior staff
  • Requirements The successful candidate will have significant experience in the delivery and management of foresight projects and methodologies, or experience in related disciplines such as corporate strategy and innovation management.

    You will be an exceptional project manager, thorough researcher and confident communicator. The successful individual will also have :
