Apple’s Pacific Supply Demand Management (SDM) group is responsible the finished goods planning for the entire Pacific Region (Asia, Australia / New Zealand, and Japan).
By using both Supply and Demand levers, we aim at positioning products at the right place, at the right time, at optimal cost to maximise end consumer sales and achieve customer satisfaction.
An opportunity exists for an ambitious, highly motivated professional to join the Pac SDM Central team as a Supply Chain capacity planning Analyst.
You will be coordinating across all product lines (iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and Accessories) and Logistics team to plan for capacity, balance and execute with constrained capacity, drive best in class inventory management and cost saving initiatives.
This role is highly visible with Operations working across all lines of business (LOB) in SDM, all functions in Logistics as well as senior management for SDM, Logistics and Operations Lead.
The key responsibilities include (but not limited to) : Drive Strategic initiatives related to Logistics capabilities across SDM.
For example : Capacity Planning capital tool and / or Supply Chain model change proposals Coordinate Logistics capacity planning for both short (weekly) and long (yearly / quarterly) term horizon.
You will work across WW SDM, Regional SDM and Logistics to consolidate inputs, generate logistics planning forecasts, aligning with Logistics on scale actions and presenting end results to senior managementPlanning / coordination of logistics capacity plans balancing across LOB when dealing with key events (product launches, seasonal peaks, capacity constraints)Host SDM and Logistics regular forums to ensure identify, share, align and resolve regular operational issues between the two functions Ensuring healthy inventory management KPIs.
You will work with stakeholders to drive a healthy utilisation of warehouses, clear disposition of ageing inventory and efficient inventory management practicesDrive supply chain cost saving initiatives or projects across LOB (e.
g. shipment or shipment mode optimisation). You will also be preparing and representing SDM in quarterly business review on cost scorecard and / or project updates with leadership
Bachelor Degree (or higher) holder with preferably around 2-4 years of work experience in an analytical role. Preferred background in a high tech or FMCG industry with supply chain management experience. MBA is a plus.
