A Space Management Trainee must be a self-starting, confident with design tools, detail-oriented individual who likes a challenge and wants to make an impact in a busy and growing company and the larger society.
Create planograms according to merchandising guidelines and category manager inputs.
Present proposed planograms to merchandising teams for approval
Provide assistance to the data analysts in the form of data collection / gathering to ensure the completion of planograms
Measurement of product dimensions (Height, Width, Depth) where necessary
Produce live images of products where necessary
Periodically reviews sales performance to determine space allocation
Recommends products for retention, addition, deletion
Plans for actions to maintain acceptable inventory
Technical Skills and Competencies Trainee will learn during SGUnited Traineeship Programme :
Active participation in strategic planning process, including developing goals, objectives and processes.
Consumer centric category management - understanding need states of consumers during decision making as key objective.
Training on Space Management system functionalities and end-to-end processes.
Commercial Trade strategies - learn all about competitive positioning and the successful marketing and retailing a product.
Teamwork - Create an engaging relationship with operations (internal customers) and external customers that is interactive and satisfying.
Projects management - coordination and execution on special events, Big Bet Atrium fairs, major festive planning ie.Christmas.
Honing own's hard and soft management skills, analytical and retail management skills (attention to detail), as well as people relationship skills.

Duration of Traineeship / s : Up to 12 months
Eligibility Criteria for SGUnitedTraineeships :
Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.
g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020.
