A major oil and gas company is currently looking for a Cost Controller for a 6 months contract

  • Familiarize and understand the overall project budget and work breakdown structure.
  • Identify and report on actual costs incurred against budget.
  • Together with the Commercial Manager, Planner and Accounts department, evaluate and update the project cost forecast on a regular basis, with monthly reporting.
  • Review and track costs incurred against provisional sums from the Head Contract on the established tracking register by verifying quantities expended by Subcontractors at the shipyard.
  • Consolidate cost data from all relevant parties for Project Manager and Commercial Manager’s review.
  • Verify commercial invoices from shipyard or other subcontractors prior to Project Manager’s approval.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying or Engineering, and;
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Cost Control or Project Controls management, and;
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Excel
  • Other Requirements :

  • Good communication skills as will be required to liaise with Project team on Site, Commercial Manager in Perth, Procurement Manager and other stakeholders in various locations.
