Position Purpose & Summary :

Global Treasury’s purpose is to enhance Cargill’s competitiveness and its ability to be the partner of choice by delivering world class financial and risk management products and services.

Treasury’s mission is to deliver imaginative and value creating solutions in credit access & relationship management, funding & foreign exchange, cash management & treasury operations, and financial consulting & analysis.

The candidate will be part of the Treasury A&F team, which is responsible treasury finance, controls and process improvement.

This candidate will be responsible for areas within the finance team and will own processes that have both APAC regional and global Treasury focus which would include the supporting the regional Treasury TMG activities and supporting the global Treasury annual planning process.

Principal Accountabilities :

40% - Financial Reporting :

  • Provide support to ensure that financial & local regulatory reporting meet local and US GAAP requirements, which includes performing month end close activities.
  • Support the Cargill Business Services (CBS) team, and monitor metrics / CBS performance
  • Provide support to ensure compliance with local and US Tax requirements, including completion of month VAT reconciliation, annual transfer pricing.
  • Liaise with A&F organisation and Auditors to complete statutory audits
  • Liaise with Tax for Tax filings
  • 40% - Financial Analysis :

  • Provide financial information to Treasury Markets Group ( TMG ) and Treasury Advisory Group ( TAG ) for decision making
  • Support TMG in analysing new risk taking and cross border funding structures from a finance perspective
  • Review and reconcile TMG P&L to Traders’ P&L estimates and perform analysis to identify and rectify key variance drivers
  • Prepare month end management reports & schedules in accordance to Treasury global requirements.
  • Close coordination with Treasury Minneapolis / Weybridge and Corporate Accounting in the region to ensure that Treasury trades are correctly captured in an accurate and timely manner and on any issues relating to Asia business
  • Support the review and analysis of regional APAC Treasury operating and project spending
  • Review FX exposure reports for respective Treasury entities
  • Provide support for Global treasury annual planning exercise
  • 20% - Others :

  • Coordinate with colleagues in the region and in CBS for treasury services group matters, providing guidance to these teams as and when required
  • Support treasury projects / initiatives such as Treasury transformation, Business group SAP implementation, or generic process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Qualifications

    Required Education & Experience :

  • Accounting degree or an equivalent professional degree
  • CPA will be a plus
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Statutory reporting and tax filling experience
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and has strong sense of initiative
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Thorough and detail oriented at work
  • Strong sense of internal controls
  • Strong work ethics, both as team player and as an individual
  • Ability to view financials from a broad perspective
  • Ability to challenge existing processes with a view to improve them
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Good Microsoft Excel skillsets
  • Preferred Skills & Experience :

  • Big 4 audit experience will be a plus
  • Good working knowledge of risks / exposures related to financial businesses
  • Familiarity with Corporate & Divisional financial reporting requirements, systems and policies
  • Used / familiar with systems like IRIS / Summit / JDE
  • Proven ability to initiate & manage change and applying past experiences to improve existing processes
